- Holder of the highest Bulgarian medal for science -"Cyril and Methodius 1" ( 1985).
- The IFIP Outstanding Service Award for contributions to the Informatics Community (1989).
- The IFIP Silver Core Award (1992).
- The academic award for technical sciences of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences in 2000.
- The medal ribbon "Cyril and Methodius” in 2005.
- The highest award of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences “Marin Drinov” medal ribbon in 2005.
- The award BAIT EXPO 2005 for his contribution to the development of the Information technologies in Bulgaria.
